Here is a bullshit story. Seriously. Some guy wanted to take his kid to work. I've heard the recording. Its not like the kid was calling 747's to do barrel rolls or some such shit. He said the exact thing his father would have. This, my friend, is over reacting at its finest. The artist formerly known as Ironhidensh ![]() |

Yeah, it shouldn't be a big deal. We let children visiting the bridge of the ferry call down to let the catering staff know to play the docking announcement, or they can announce when the ship's whistle will sound. It's not like we let the kid dock the ship or anything, and it wasn't like these kids were giving the pilots any maneuvering orders or anything. It looks like an over-reaction to me. . . ![]() <-- Just do it. |

IMO, it's not a big deal. But we've had some high profile plane crashes in recent years, so while I don't agree with the FAA, I can see why they'd want to make an example out of this person to deter others from doing it; so it can never be argued that a child put lives at risk. Imagine if a child was doing this, just like this story, and coincidentally the plane crashed minutes after the last contact with him. We'd never hear the end of it. It'd be a media frenzy akin to Tiger Woods sprouting wings, and soaring off into the air to rescue Balloon Boy, then boning his mom. Sure, it's harmless - but it can't be allowed for that reason.
