I've sadly been keeping up with the series, only because I want to see how long they are planning on doing Superman stories without actually having Superman in them. I still like it, sort of, but they should have just decided to bite the bullet and evolve him. This JSA episode looks pretty interesting. 2 hours, too. . .   <-- Just do it. |

I would also like to see Chloe's super security on the Watchtower actually keep someone out for once. It seems like they the only time they mention it is when someone was able to bypass it and shoot her.

So, catch me up on the important stuff. I know it's Clark as a lad, fighting a different kryptonite powered monster each week. He grew up, found some Kryptonian junk, fought Zod (who'd been imprisioned in the phantom zone and possessed Lex), fought Doomsday, who was possessing some dude but got separated, hooked up with some oddball version of the Titans, and met John Jones, who's a bad ass actual bounty hunter here. Somewhere along the line, something happened to Lana, who has powers now, and she's gone. Clark moved to Metropolis, works for the Planet, and works with Green Arrow as some reluctant hero group. Correct? Am I missing anything key? What's Chloe's deal? Who knows Clark's ID? Is Lois in it? Who's alive and dead? Edited by lg on 02-02-2010 08:35 |

In a nutshell: - Lois: doesn't know Clark's secret, but is now in love with him (and vice-versa) making the 'Lois and Clark' team. - Clark - Now wears black and goes by the alias 'The Blur'. Still afraid to fly, and started to do his training but that got sidetracked, making Superman a far off never to happen deal, most likely. - Chloe now runs Watchtower in a tower bought for her by the late Jimmy Olsen (yeah, he got killed by Doomsday). she's still super smart, but not smart enough to keep a good security system running in the tower. - Green Arrow is there, and now he's back after having a half season stint as a drunk looking to pick fights and flirt with death. After Chloe showed him that he was truly a hero inside he took the mantle of Green Arrow and now has a protege named Mia. - Zod is back with his army but they are all powerless as they are actually clones that had their powers removed by Jor-El when their DNA was put in to a sphere to prevent them from taking over Earth. The DNA was put in to the sphere 'just in case' something should happen to Krypton and the race could live on. Talk about good planning on their part. Jor-El returned for one episode as a clone, but he was killed before he could be of any use to anyone, especially Clark. - Lana is gone since she was given a cursed power, fueled by Kryptonite so she can't ever be near Clark. Convenient plot device to make sure she stays away this time. Anything I missed, Iron? . . <-- Just do it. |

Sounds like I've done a good thing in avoiding this show. The DC fanboy in me got a little sick reading your summary... sounds like a convoluted mess, with random characters tossed in for the fuck of it (ala X3 and Wolverine Origins). Seriously... Mia's in it at this point in the game? Still looking very forward to Friday and the JSA tho! |
