Also saw District 9 and dug it. It wasn't what I was expecting at all, but I liked it. I'm not sure how good the inevitable sequel they set up will be, but District 9 was a good watch.

Also, LG, check your fucking PMs, I have blogs to post! ![]() I used to have a PS3 trophy card here, but my PS3 is currently sitting neglected on the floor and earning its sole income by collecting dust. |

Saw Imaginarium of Dr. Parnassus, and loved it. It wasn't quite up to the level of Brazil (though to be fair, that's probably my favorite movie of all time, so it would have been pretty damn hard for Gilliam to top himself there), but it was still a great movie, easily better than his last two. If you've liked any of Gilliam's past work (aside from 12 Monkeys, which was an amazing film, but uncharacteristic of his usual style), you need to see this movie.

Ok, I saw Hurt Locker. It was good, sure, but not as good as some are making it out to be. The racial profiling/paranoia being necessary in a situation where anyone/thing can be a terrorist weapon was an interesting angle though. Quite a few scenes I didn't really understand, like WTF was that aggressive taxi driver doing? And why didn't the protagonist care when he realized the DVD kid wasn't the body?

i think the paranoia really gave a sense of how fucked up the situation over there really can be, and i will say i didn't appreciate that until now. the taxi cab guy for example, its a total miscommunication waiting to go up in flames. i see ppl in NYC acting as stupid all the time. i can't imagine those types in a situation like that - prob the same kind of powderkeg result. $_$ ![]() |

Wolverine: fucking terrible Couples Retreat: dumb but okay Whip It: not bad Invention of Lying: boring Angels and Demons: national treasure in europe But... I did see an episode of G1 in italian. Seemed like the cast may have been 3 ppl. Every bot sounded the same. Ironhide, prime and sunstreaker exactly the same accent. The one with Autobot Day. $_$ ![]() |
